Justin Miles
Meet Justin Miles – If it’s outdoors, from the extreme to the serene, then I’m there!
What drives you to spend time outside?
The world is an awesome place and the more I explore, the more I learn, then the more I want to explore and the more I want to learn.
Where are your favourite places to go?
I’ve invested my life in adventures, challenges and expeditions all around the globe but if I had to choose one location, then the ‘special place’ place in my heart is Hound Tor on Dartmoor, Devon.
What is your favourite thing to do outdoors?
Trying to ‘pin’ my favourite thing to do outdoors is almost impossible, but when it comes down to it, it would have to be doing anything at all with my dogs, from walking the coastline to mooching about in the darkest of woods.
Who inspires you and how?
My inspiration comes from a whole selection of people, from family and friends to the children that I engage with in schools.
What are your focuses this year to help people get outside more often?
My focus as an outdoor ‘champ’ is on inspiring and empowering those people who don’t currently experience outdoor activities to try it, to taste the benefits to mental and physical health that are available from outdoor activity and to have a greater understanding of the world that we live in.
What are your 3 biggest life achievements?
Wow! My life, hopefully, isn’t over by a long way so the biggest achievements are yet to come!
3 words you live by…
Always be happy.
Do you have any guilty pleasures?
Yes, but I’m so guilty about them that there’s no way I’m going to share!
